Followers of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky came out en masse to celebrate yet another birthday anniversary of Sayyida Fatimatul Zahra (AS) in different cities in Nigeria and neighboring countries. In Kano Nigeria the birthday was celebrated with a Birthday anniversary march within some major streets of central metropolitan Kano City that started by about 10am on Sunday 20th Jimadal thani 1443 (23rd January, 2022).
Sayyida Fatimatul Zahra (AS) was born on this very day ie 20th Jiadal Thani in which showing love to her and Prophets Progeny is mandatory upon us. This very date of Sayyida Fatima's birthday is recognized as the World Women day in which different events are held to show and express the love for Sayyida Fatima and extend the message of her life worthy of emulation.
Sheikh Imam Ya’aquob Kurna led the march on this day from Kano central mosque close to the emir’s palace that passed through some major streets with participants from Kano city and its environs. Participant well dressed colorfully within different age groups, professions, neighborhoods, rural environs/zones held flags, banners etc convening the message of birthday of Sayyida Fatima (AS) while echoing poems, songs of Sayyida Fatimatul Zahra (AS) with presents given to those that came to facilitate with the march passers.
At the end of the march Malama Sa’adatu Khamis and Sheikh Imam Ya’aqoub made a closing remarks in which Sheikh Imam encourage Muslims to emulate the examplenary life of Sayyida Fatima Zahra that is full of lesson were it is expected that our life is full of emulating the practical life of Sayyida Zahra with which lessons of the life of Sayyida Fatima Zahra is extended for emulation. Malama Sa’adatu had also expressed thanks to Allah for letting us see this very blissful day, Women’s Day and being followers of Ahlul Bait (AS), and calling on all to be on this noble path.
Mal Basir Sabon titi made the closing prayers after the march.
