He found his way into the political arena like a stormy petrel, armed with an audacious disposition that knows no impossibilities. He was sure of what he wanted to achieve and did not waste time dilly-dallying with the regulars who were still trying very hard to understand where he was coming from and his next destination. He came into governance and government as the youngest governor in this dispensation and predictably, he has carried on like one in a hurry to cross to the next level. He is not perturbed when people wonder where he derives his motivation and strength from. His style and conviction defy the norm and it has reduced his opponents to confused onlookers, wondering where the pendulum would swing to. They do not realize that the man YAHAYA BELLO is a master of the politics of probabilities or "ifisms" where uncertainties are actually certain, constant and laden with positive results.

During the build up to the election that brought him into power in Kogi State, many had wondered what he wanted to achieve, coming from an ethnic group that cannot boast of a majority vote compared to the Igala, who had always had their way since the creation of the state. It was a near impossible task and was only made possibly when the unknown factors of the politics of ifisms roared to the fore and the rest is history. It was therefore considered a no mean feat for someone coming from a minority ethnic group, so-called, to emerge as the governor of that state where the majority ethnic group appeared to have had an irongrip on the processes and procedures of political relevance and prominence.
Recently, drums were rolled out, with minstrels of various persuasions, making efforts to outshine one another, as they sing the praises of a young man who has become the numero uno and a primus inter pares, within the fold of the Nigerian youths, and urging him to step out and take his game a notch higher by contesting for the position of the president in 2023. The mistakes many would easily make at this point is to dismiss him with a wave of the hand, and wondering how he can make it to the loftiest political position in the country. It would be too fatal to call him a political popinjay when his antecedents are saying otherwise. For a man who thrives on the politics of probabilities, it would be unwise not to take him serious. For a politician who understands and easily sees the certainties of political ifisms and the predictability of probabilities, 2023 is yet another occasion to showcase his mastery of the game of choice influencing...
There are many out there who are already wondering how he can glide over very formidable opponents who have been in the political turf long before he was born. The mastery of the game of politics have various dimensions, and no single person is a master of all. Politics could be likened to mathematics with different branches. Some of them are very difficult to understand, while others are easy and beckoning. Ironically, there are people who have mastered the very difficult branches and see nothing in them. In politics therefore, the branch that YAHAHA BELLO appeared to have a good grip on is political ifisms, where certainties are seen in unpredictable political situations and probabilities are as sure as the sun rising the next day.
In 2023 presidential election, there will be a lot of surprises, and one of these surprises would be as a result of the dynamics and reality of political ifisms, which is a familiar ground to YAHAYA BELLO. It is too early to dismiss his ambitious plunge at the presidential seat because, just like it happened in the Kogi gubernatorial elections, where "lightening struck twice" it could strike again at the presidential level where similar factors are present. With the youths clamouring for a change, he might just be the right person to begin a new narrative in the Nigerian political history, barring the occurrence of the following; the successful conviction of other regions by the South Easterners on the fairness of zoning the presidential seat to the region, the forceful emergence of the South Westerners on the scene where the South Easterners decide to go lethargic with their quest. With this scenario set and inviting, the North through the North Central, would be able to manuovre their way back to power suddenly as a result of the unsuccessful bidding of the other two political blocs.
With the settings above, YAHAYA BELLO could become the beautiful bride and coast home to victory. Again, even where the zoning arrangement stays, the master of political ifisms, who sees the certainties in probabilities, could still spring a surprise where God Almighty, the One who initiated leadership in the first place, decides to allow him reign like it played out in Kogi State on two occasions. The politics of ifisms is neither here nor there, and has persistently defied logic. It is like the best football side losing to the side considered as underdogs, and you wonder how it all happened. With a conscious youth population rooting for a change, everything and anything is possible...
