Prominent Sunni Scholar of the Tijjaniya Brotherhood, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, attended Eid-Al-Fitr 2021 prayers in Bauchi today.

The Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has observed the Eid el-Fitr prayer today along with a large number of his followers in Bauch.
The cleric led the Eid prayers at his residence in Bauchi in the northeast.
One of the cleric's children, Tijjani Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, led the Eid prayers while the teacher was with us.
After the prayers, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi said they conducted their Eid prayers because they were assured of seeing the month of Shawwal on Tuesday.According to him, "Based on these reports that the moon is fixed, what is said by two righteous people when they see it is enough for us people, or a large crowd [when they see the moon]."
He added that the moon was seen in places such as Gombe, Gadau and Kebbi.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi said they had no right to deny the people who confirmed the sighting of the moon "because they are numerous. That is why we have now come to perform the Eid prayers because the month of Ramadan is over, the month of Shawwal has arrived."
Niger Republic, Senegal and Mali are among the Muslim countries celebrating Eid el-Fitr today.
The majority of Nigerian Muslims will observe Eid prayers on Thursday after the Sultan's Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Nigerian Monthly Committee said they had not received any reports of the sighting of the baby in the month of Shawwal on Tuesday. May 2021 which corresponds to the 29th of Ramadan 1442 AH.
That is why the Sultan of Sokoto, Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar, has declared Thursday, May 13, 2021, as the day of Salat and the 1st of Shawwal.
