...Urge Her To Look Into Al-Mohass-Martei Dei,Old Kutunku Roads As Alternative Routes.

Civil servants in Gwagwalada and Youths of old and new Kutunku areas of Gwagwalada area council of the FCT, has praised the Minister of state,Hajia Ramatu Tijani Aliyu and her counterpart for opening up the old roads that linked the town towards the palace of Aguma of Gwagwalada and Park road end of the town.

This became necessary in view of the linkage of all the roads including the new ones in both phase 1,2,3 of the town, to motorable and safe for residents.

A statement issued by Mohammed Idris on behalf on the groups, says the Radio House Junction to Park road will boost the economic activities of the town and link it to other new areas.

He however appealed to the Minister to consider the road that linked Martei Dei Catholic church through Al-Mohass schools to new Kutunku areas as alternative route, that will reduce the traffic on the old kutunku-kaida roads.

He says the old road linking the palace of the paramount ruler of the town, when rehabilitated, will reduce the frequent embarrassements public and top goverment officials experience during a courtesy call to the palace.

He appeal to Minister's to consider given the palace of Aguma a face lift,by relocating petty traders around the palace to other locations.

'It is an embarrassement to also allow petty traders operate on the fence of Aguma of Gwagwalada, owing to his simplicity and people centredness.'

Mohammed urged the Minister to consider the area in other developement and infrastructural break through,to address the growing dearth of public utilities.

He urged the Minister not to abandon other stretch of roads started last year, particularly the new Millennium road and Radio House Junction to market roads linking SDP.

'The expansion of roads from SDP to Passo,Paiko and other areas of Gwagwalada surbubs of the town ,is really good for the progress and developement of the town.'

He said residents of the town had suffered untold hardships in the area of roads, water, and other infrastructural developement.

He also prayed that road contractors will carry out the job according to specification and early completion of the time line.
