Supreme Court of Nigeria is the final bus stop for all legal lacuna, legal crises and legal adjudication to any lingering issues in Nigeria context.

Not until recently when politicians out of inordinate ambition seek to review some high profile political cases that involved some state governors, nobody dare to challenge the supremacy of the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court decision remain a reference point to all other decisions of the courts both in political, economic, social and personal life of all Nigerians.

The Supreme Court had presided on so many cases since the independent and lately return to democracy in 1999, justifying it's status as the final arbiter by redressing all legal anomaly perpertrated by the political players, either during the selection process or election .

It is no longer news that the apex court had delivered landmark judgements that removed recently two state governors of Abia and lately Bayelsa who was due for  swearing in few hours to the occassion,he lost his seat through a judgement.

On so many occasions, pre-election matters that involve all levels of elective positions find it's way to the Supreme Court for proper and final adjudication, that tends to shape and reshaped the political life style of the political players across all the political party's .

So it is not an exception for PDP Governorship aspirant in the last Kogi Governorship election,Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim to seek redress on a hurriedly and shabbily conducted and ratified primary election that denied the original winner of the conveted office of the Governorship candidate of PDP in Kogi .

His insistence is to set the record straight by the apex court whether what transpired by September 3 in the confluence stadium will be acceptable as the best process of selection of a party's Governorship candidate, not only in Kogi, but any other states of the Federation .

What he sought to know,is for the Apex court to look into their archives with a view to putting the record of Kogi PDP scenario straight,or possibly set a record that will be a reference point as precedence and antecedents.

But the PDP undertakers in Kogi does not see anything good in the move, and regarded as a political misnormer even when they are huge beneficiaries of Supreme Court decisions not long ago.

They have seen the decision of PDP Governorship aspirant in the last election in Kogi as an affront, having gone ahead to confront him with a threat of all sorts, including expulsion from the party and other irrelevancies.

They see PDP as their personal estate that can make and unmake decisions that soothe their whims and caprices, even if it is glaringly against the lay down procedures.

The situation has so degenerated that party members, officials and unofficials have resorted to all sorts of utterances to pre-empt the likely decision of the party leadership, not for anything, but for personal interest.

They have constituted themselves into quasi party Excos at the ward, local government, state to hire and fire members of PDP in Kogi without lay down procedures.

It is no longer a serious issue to ponder on an aggrieved Governorship aspirant, resort to truce, but outrightly denying him of his rights and priviledges to their comfort at party level.

They see PDP as their personal assets and estate, beyond what other party members could contemplate,so the decision to engage or challenge any process is seen as an offence.

The PDP undertakers see themselves as genuine members of the party than others, having hijacked all organs of the party at all levels.

But that may not be the position of the law in reference to electoral matters,as the law will definitely take it's full course in few weeks to come to determine the original candidate of PDP in the last Kogi Governorship election.

It is expected of the law to look at the basis, evidences and circumstances of the event that led to the announcement of the current candidate and also determine on the position and provision of the law, especially the non declaratory judgement of the lower court.

If Celebrations is turn by turn, then without prejudice to the apex court decision in few weeks,it will be the turn  of Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim to be declared winner of the September 3 PDP primaries held in Lokoja, and PDP candidate in the last November 16 Kogi Governorship election.

It is now left for the Supreme Court to wield it's big hammer on Kogi PDP undertakers, whose action led to the dismal perfomance in the last Governorship election in the state .

PDP is not the property of anybody,no matter how highly placed,it is high time for the undertakers to re-adjust their minds and decisions,so as to give the party a chance to salvage the people of the state .
