Family Member of the Late PDP Woman Leader, Late Mrs Salome Acheju Abu has confirmed the visit of the APC National Woman Leader, Hajia Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma two Sundays ago, to empathize with the family over the unfortunate incidence.

In a telephone conversation with one of the daughters of the late Woman Leader Ms Achenyo Abu, she said the APC National Woman Leader actually paid a condolence visit to the family some days back, and not yesterday after the heat generated by a Facebook publication credited to Comrade Austin Okai Usman.

"Though, am not out to defend anybody, but to be fair to all, Baiwa was in the family residence to demonstrate her love and empathy for the family"

She said further, "We are at a crossroads now, and preparation at advance stage on burial arrangement for our late mother, are we going to get State burial, why all this questions"??

On inquiry to speak with the patraich of the family, Ms Achenyo retorted, "We have stopped him from speaking on the phone or picking calls, since he is still recuperating gradually from the shock of the incidence that led to the death of our Mother, so you can't speak with him".

This will lay to rest series of comments both on the social and conventional media, consisting of Facebook and WhatsApp platform, that her visit was belated, or not made public, considering her status in the society, while others assumed she visited yesterday night after the post on social media.

APC National Woman Leader warned on the need to eschew violence during and after the election, during an interview few days before the election in lokoja, while she condemned the act of the burnt PDP Woman Leader in Ochadamu, described the act as barbaric.

According to her, "You know me, am not a party to violence acts or perpetrators, it is condemnable, inhuman and needless".

"We are happy that the appropriate authority had swung into action, to address the injustices meted out to her".She said.

She avered that her decision to make the visit private, was premised on the level of her devastation and dejection following the action of the overzealous thugs, that led to the demise of the innocent woman.
