For those aspiring a socioeconomic and politically workable Kogi state, APC and PDP have disappointed us. Oh yes! All fingers pointed at an obvious direction- our democracy is at stake.

Check this, Yahaya Bello’s return ticket was not base on his previous antecedent. It was not leveraged on a prudent economic structural plans that may peradventure salvage Kogi state from her despotic situations. It was because Bello was a high financial member of the party- he has been donating our money to the ruling party.

Apparently, APC was not deterred by the cries of humanity, it wasn’t apprehensive that Kogi may cease to exist under Yahaya Bello. What matters to them is the money- shame!
You see I have been wondering, how could a great country like Nigeria make such heinous mistake of entrusting power to these gangs of criminals? We needed a messiah, we got one or so, leveraging a vilified ancient antecedents, and with a loud and boisterous voices around the world, there was air of jubilee by Nigerians thinking the former general has the wherewithals.

Today, the song is quite different, the rule of law and due process we hoped to restore had been constricted. Democracy is dead and buried even as desperation ravages the system. Those in power are obviously oblivious of the people’s plight and surrounding, yet, they are not ready to relinquish power in a hurry.

Fellow Kogites, even if a prophet comes to me that Bello will clinch the second term ticket, I will call him a liar. This is because the manner in with President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC chairman bragged about his second term as well as the robbery conspiracies that ensure the wave off of former general for him to emerge still baffles.

As things stood, Bello’s supporters are mainly of two categories- those apprehensive of his sophisticated approach and structure, and the offspring of stomach infrastructure.

To the former, the incumbent cannot be so easily ousted, hence, the need to join the train for him to complete his second term. And to the latter, the definition of good governance is crumb of compassion, a leader is outstandingly measured if the crumb comes consistently. Unfortunately, none of these categories took cognizance of a better Kogi state or the need to rejuvenate her ailing economy.

We turned back to PDP and pleaded for credibility in order to return the party to power. PDP ended up with unprecedented atrocities. Despite warning that who emerges the party’s flag bearer is substantial to Bello’s removal, and that a weaker candidate may not augur well, not only did PDP failed woefully in this regard, it had clearly paved way for Bello’s smooth ride back to Lugard house.

The candidate so unpopular, he clearly lacks the wherewithal to either wrestle Kogi from the enfant terrible or put the recycled politicians in PDP on their knees. What many regarded as fair and credible in the recent opposition’s primaries was actually a calculated efforts of some offsprings of the ruling family who now posed as self-styled, anonymous godfathers.

Other aspirants including Ibro’s son know and I know.

For instance, the primary was going on smoothly and a particular aspirant was leading, only for thugs to invade the venue at night, shot at some people and a particular bullet prove aspirant went inside and drove out with the entire ballot box/papers to his house, only to return with the next morning and be declared winner- what a nollywood movie ever produce in Nigeria! I am sure by the time PDP will release it to cinemas it will sell more than the famous Black Panther.

We saw dreamers and capable hands in PDP, even the body language of the general public figured out those aspirants, yet, greed and self conceit of some advocate of clannishness will not let.

Fellow Kogites, we are in deep mess. I repeat, APC and PDP had failed. But there is an option. We must take our destinies in our hands in order to decide the future. Anything contrary is at our own peril.

We must seek urgently a third force that can halt this situation. A third force that can take the right lead in bringing to reality our much dreamed Kogi state. This is where Natasha Akpoti stands as the most befitting hands.

Before resonating to politics she has constantly posited the need to resuscitate Kogi from the contemporary sycophants. She fought the high and mighty to retain our most endeared Ajaokuta steel company from been sold off to private and selfish individuals. And of course our common enemy Yahaya Bello knows that Natasha’s political territory is too sophisticated to thread on. As a matter of fact, she is the only candidate that earns the lord of Lugard house persistent sleepless nights.

Natasha is indeed an angel of hope. She knows her onion as far as the mandate is concerned. Trust me, apart from been an enigma if a paradigm shift, her reasons are cogent and most importantly, men had failed, let women take the lead.

God Bless Kogi state.
