KOGI GUBER: Echocho Progressive Network Endorse GYB/CEDO for November Guber election. ||Anyigbaleft

Members of the Echocho Progressive Network, Kogi State have unanimously endorsed Governor Yahaya Bello for second term in office.

The group says it is backing Governor Bello for entrenching peace and unity as well as his accommodating gesture in governance of Kogi state.

The Echocho Progressive Network members, who were  in Government House Lokoja yesterday, on a thank you and congratulatory visit to the deputy Governor awaiting, Chief Edward David Onoja, described the Governor as a “gentle, accommodating, always focused, progressive minded and promised to network round Kogi State  during the Guber election.

The state coordinator of the political Network, Adam  Sufyan Imam, praised the governor for his “manifest love for our people living in Kogi State.”

"We're here on behalf of our principal, Sen. Dr. Jibrin Isah Echocho to appreciate his Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and the Stakeholders of New Direction Government for   the unalloyed support we and our principal enjoy during the last Kogi East senatorial election and also to congratulate you on your recent nomination as the deputy Governor in-waiting, as well as your recent award as the Commander of Igala Kingdom (CIK).


Appreciating the governor’s spirit of tolerance, the group said the governor did well by involving youths in  governance of the state through strategic appointments and recognition.

“Having considered all these and concluded with our principal, Your Excellency, our people unanimously raise our voices in supporting your acceptance to have a second shot at the governance of Kogi State in the coming gubernatorial election.

State publicity secretary Prosper Elijah Salifu, who echoed in similar gestures appreciated the Chief of Staff  for the warm reception accorded them, assuring the incoming deputy governor of their total support during and after the election. He however encouraged the Chief of Staff to continue his goodwill and never be distracted by any ethnic or tribal agenda. 

Responding, Chief Edward Onoja thanked the Echocho Progressive Network for their solidarity and endorsement. He reiterated the New Direction Government administration’s commitment to the oneness of the people living in Kogi State, irrespective of class, religion and  ethnicity. Noting that the governor will continue to ensure that youths take center stage in governance, he concluded.
