Governor Makinde said he was in Kogi state for the People's Democratic Party's activities and by the rule of engagement, had to pay a courtesy call on the Governor.

Governor Makinde jokingly said, "I am in your state to kick off the process that will produce the candidate that will face Your Excellency in the coming election". 

Makinde commended Governor Bello for the leadership he's providing for the people of Kogi State.
Governor Bello thanked the visiting Governor for the visit and assured him of a peaceful and successful stay in Kogi State.
