Promised Better Days When Elected.
PDP frontline governorship aspirant,Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim said it will be a disservice to the people of Kogi state, for the accounts not to be subjected to public scrutiny in the interest of good governance, from the revelation of the state deputy Governor.

Abubakar disclosed this in a press release condemned the plight of the state deputy governor,Elder Simon Achuba, completely isolated, promising better days ahead when elected in November.

"It is with shock, Abubakar Ibrahim watched on Channels Television the recent Press Conference of the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Simon Achuba.

Inspite of Party differences, Abubakar Ibrahim could not hide his emotion for a fellow Kogite complaining of being insecured even as the Constitutionally recognised Number Two Citizen of the State".

Ibrahim expressed regrets that despite several arrangement by peace ambassadors in Kogi and nationwide to preach the need to sustain peace in the state,it is still a mirage with the state deputy governor raising alarm.

"Abubakar Ibrahim wished Chief Simon Achuba the very best, even as he prayed God Almighty to keep him, his aides, loved ones, well-wishers and family safe at such turbulent and trying times as these".

He described the role of the governor in the relationship between the two leaders as undemocratic and novel, in the practice of democratic practice in Nigeria and  worldwide.

"Abubakar Ibrahim wondered what kind of anomaly Governor Yahaya Bello is actually up with, that is the reason why the fight between himself and his deputy keeps going far from being over on a daily basis".

Abubakar alleged that the current face between the governor and his deputy is diversionary and capable of deraling the statutory obligation of service to the people of the state.

"Not to wonder much, Abubakar Ibrahim has always known that Governor Yahaya Bello lacks the necessary plans and focus needed to better the lives of Kogites, hence the reason why he has made fighting his own deputy a priority over service to the electorates, who look up to the Government on a daily basis for security, sustenance and policy drive".

He appealed to the state governor, to see governance of the state as a collective efforts and not a one man show, saying that is the beauty of democracy worldwide, by bringing different shades and opinion into a fold.

"Abubakar Ibrahim used the medium to appeal Governor Yahaya Bello, that his fight with his deputy is  painfully embarrassing, unnecessary, as he has descended low,his officeand the State into in a clear act of "misplacement of priority".

He promised to improve on the roles of the deputy governor when elected as Kogi governor, as the roles of every state deputy governors can not be discountenanced.

"Abubakar Ibrahim is emphatic in letting all to know that misplacement of priority is not an act to be taken lightly, as Kogites are very serious people whose welfare should be treated as priority at every minute of the day and not even as an option, while fight with deputy is daily making headline, hence putting the State in a bad light before all Kogites, all Nigerians and the whole world at large".

He urged top political office holders like the state Governor and his deputy are expected to show leadership by example, rather than going the other way round.

'On this note, Abubakar Ibrahim stresses the fact that Governor Yahaya Bello has done very bad even in terms of basic character as the fight between himself and his deputy that should be a private affair even still, is now a trending topic even on mainstream media, hence putting the State far behind other States in the race for growth and development'.

He regretted the plight of the state work force and the pensioners who have fund it difficult to access their monthly salaries as every worker desire his/her living wages.

'That said, Abubakar Ibrahim who is addicted to the welfare good of each and every one civil servant in Kogi State broke down weeping like a baby for many hours watching a Kogite who is a sister, a mother and a worker whose only crime is being a civil servant in Kogi State at a time Mr Yahaya Bello is Governor.'

He reassured the people of the state to keep faith with November election as emergence will be heralded with another chapter of development and advancement of the state.

"Abubakar Ibrahim calls on all to join faith with him. He wants the woman who came out boldly on live TV to ask the whole world to plead with the Governor over her salaries as a civil servant who went for study-leave and has since been obviously denied her salaries and benefits; to believe that he is with her same as every other Kogi State and Local Government civil servant at the trying times they are currently going through in the hands of Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC".

Abubakar appealed to APC leaders at the national level to be wary of the activities of those leaders imposed on the people at the state level, saying alot of hardship had been inflicted on the people in the last three years under APC.

"Furthermore, Abubakar Ibrahim laments the silence of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who as a labour leader in time past, was at the forefront of the the struggle for workers welfare. He is worried that inspite of Oshiomhole being the National Chairman of APC at a time that Governor Yahaya Bello is about to use non-payment of salaries to potentially wipe out the Kogi State Civil Service itself, how he has been loudly mute about the plight of workers in Kogi State under the administration of his Party, the APC and Governor Yahaya Bello; begs the question of if there is a potential conspiracy of wickedness at work and the extent to which the APC as a Party endorses it behind the scene'.

He urged the kogi workers to seek alternative in the PDP as their next choice of leadersgip realise tgrough him,as the labour leadership experience of the party's chairman, Adams Oshiomole was not vring to bare in kogi.

'The silence of the APC and it's refusal to discipline Governor Yahaya Bello confirms Abubakar Ibrahim's view from the first day the party was even established, that  the party is anti-workers and at this point in Kogi State administration, the Party yet again does not mind even if their conspiracy of wickedness means all civil servants and retirees in Kogi State starving and dying in increased numbers daily, due to non-payment of salaries and pensions".

He said the current plight of Kogi workers will become a thing of the past when voted on November, promising a people oriented leadership.

"Abubakar Ibrahim who is a Governorship aspirant and is currently a frontline aspirant contesting for the PDP ticket in the State, has promised that when he is voted in as Governor he will put an end to hunger in the State. This he will achieve by giving the civil servants their pride of place as was the already-established tradition in the days PDP was in charge of the State".

He urged the state workers and pensioners yo keep faith with his current strides to ascend the leadership of the state, assiurig that worjwrs welfare will be topmost.

"Abubakar Ibrahim has promised, he is coming to wipe away all tears from the face of all civil servants. He is coming to make all Kogites smile again and make them happy again. These he will achieve by putting to work the right policies that will be pro-workers and pro-human capital development".
