PDP’S OMEBIJE DECLARES BID TO REPLACE GOV. BELLO OF APC -Anyigbaleft

Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Omebije has announced his bid to seek the ticket of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 Kogi governorship election.

Omebije made his intention known on Thursday while addressing the key members of  the Social media community and media influencers in Abuja. These are prominent social media figures across Kogi’s three Senatorial districts and the Press.

The governorship aspirant says he intends to make Kogi state a “great and vibrant state in Nigeria, taking its rightful place in the comity of states around the globe through his experience, as a licensed surveyor and entrepreneur”.

He said: “I am putting myself forward because our dear Kogi State needs to be delivered from the clutch of collapse and the mismanagement of the present crop of usurpers. I started my life as a House Boy – that was the only way I could access education. I know what it is, when you talk of hunger”

“A vision for a Kogi where our children are educated and our youth are highly-skilled, free of hunger, illiteracy, disease and destitution.”

While answering from the Media, he said “50% of the election security challenges in Kogi will be covered if a popular candidate emerges in a true and fair primary. Thereafter, no one can hijack the people’s mandate via violence. I am up to the task.”

Also speaking, the DG of the Omebije Campaign Organisation, Mr. Farouk Adejoh-Audu told the influencers that, Omebije decides to make his intention known first, to the Social Media community because of their essence and vibrancy in exposing ‘the state of Kogi’ that is always in the News, mostly for bad reasons.

“We appreciate your efforts and will to have a functional government in Kogi state. To this extent, we have made you all, our first point of call and we are happy to present to you, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Omebije, by the grace of God, the Next Governor of Kogi State. Thank you for honoring us and we will be having more of this interaction as we go along-on this journey.”
