Government is supposed to be continuity with every successor building on the existing legacies of his/her predecessor while systematically fusing in his/her own blueprint.
But sadly, today in Nigeria, every successor tend to jettison the legacies of their predecessors which usually is premeditated because they either want to rubbish their works for political vendetta but most times, because they want to create avenue for siphoning of public funds.
However, Capt. Idris Wada continue to hold the torch as a progressive Governor who came into power, completed all the projects of his predecessor such as the Kogi water board and the confluence stadium to mention but these two.
Capt. Idris Wada started on his blueprint and due to the political instability in our political culture, he left office in 2016 and all the projects started and completed under his administration were not being put into use by his predecessor. The ones up to 80-90% completion were also abandoned.
As we approach Sept. 3 PDP party primaries and Nov 16 Governorship election, I call on every stakeholder to eschew sentiments and political deceits and seek the Idris Wada option as he remain the most experienced, honest, focused and prudent leader Kogi deserves at this perilous time.
No matter the level of distractions and betrayals, Capt. Idris Wada has remained focused, consistent and dedicated to the Kogi project.
As promised during the course of the week, we shall be releasing a complete list of the projects executed by Capt. Idris Wada from 2012 - 2016.
